She fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. Called it the most restorative sleep she'd had in years.

Last fall, a mom named Valencia came on one of our camping trips. She'd never slept outdoors. Couldn't sleep without a locked door. That night she fell asleep to the sound of the ocean. Her daughter spent the weekend running barefoot through camp. No fear. Just joy.

This keeps happening. Families show up cautious and leave different. Real rest. Real food cooked together. Kids free. Strangers becoming family around a fire in 48 hours.

Your gift makes that possible. Outdoorithm Collective runs camping trips for families who've never had access to public lands. We handle everything — gear, food, campsite reservations, community. All they have to do is show up.

Valencia

I went to sleep to the sound of the ocean. It was the most restorative sleep I have had in years. Now my daughter climbs trees and runs free with no shoes — a child with no fear, only joy.

Sally and Justin Steele, Co-Founders of Outdoorithm Collective

We started Outdoorithm because we saw what camping did for our own family — 107 trips, 54 campgrounds, 21 years of sleeping under the stars — and we knew other families deserved that same chance. Your support helps put real families around real campfires. We take care of the gear, the food, and the sites so families can focus on being outside together and building community.

Rejuvenated. Grounded. Rested. Calm. There’s something about being outside that brings everything back into balance.

Michelle

It feels like core aspects of who we are as individuals and as a family are made on these trips.

Carl

There are very few times as a Black man that I feel comfortable in the woods. Being able to feel safe camping changes the narrative.

My grief still exists, but it feels a bit lighter — softened by memories of the beach day, campfire chats, and cheering on the tree climbers.
